Electronic learning guide for the module “Contemporary Political Philosophy” provides students in Philosophy with the learning guidelines, timeline, assignments and reading references. The student can use the guide for an independent study or can rely on it as a learning tool in addition to in-class teaching. The module includes materials for three courses “Theory of Modernity,” “Subjects of Modernity,” and “Political Philosophy and Gender.” Each of these courses can be studied separately, but students are advised to work through all courses of the module in order to have good grasp of theoretical and empirical problems that occupy the minds of researchers in the field. “Theory of Modernity” focuses on the more theoretical issues discussed in political philosophy, while “Subjects of Modernity” and “Political Philosophy and Gender” engage other disciplinary perspectives such as anthropology, sociology, and political science for analyzing normative concerns that arise in everyday situati
